The collaboration

 

SMIDOS was established in February 2008 and held its first full AGM at its annual Dialogue Day in March 2009. It is now carefully considering its future as it enters its second and final year of Welsh Assembly Government funding. It will continue to deliver training and one-to-one consultancy support but it is being increasingly requested to fulfil the role of orchestrating opportunities for all sections of the Welsh international development sector to meet together and pursue common interests, and particularly becoming the body within Welsh civil society to work with government on international development. Progress in this direction will be reported here over coming weeks and months.
